The Archbishop of Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu has this evening arrived in East Ruwenzori Diocese for his official pastoral visit.
He was welcomed at River Mpanga bridge at the boarder of Kabarole and Kamwenge Districts by Bishop George and Maama Juliet Turyasingura, Rt. Rev. Edward Bamucwanira (Bishop Emeritus – East Ruwenzori) and Maama Annah Bamucwanira, Rt Rev Geoffrey Rwobusiisi (Bishop Emeritus – Kyangugu in Rwanda) and Maama Canon Mary Rwobusiisi, Clergy and jubilant Christians.
The Archbishop was accompanied by Rt Rev Reuben Kisembo the Bishop of Ruwenzori Diocese, Mr. Tushabe Chris Karobwa the Diocesan Head of Laity, the Diocesan Secretary, Richard Rwabuhinga the LC5 Chairman of Kabarole District, Resident City Commissioner of Fort Portal City among other leaders of Ruwenzori Diocese and Kabarole District who handed him over to Bishop Turyasingura and team.
Tomorrow (Sunday), the Archbishop will be the main Celebrant in a holy communion service at St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Kamwenge.
On Monday, he will have a meeting with key stakeholders and representatives from Parishes and other ministerial obligations before ending his official pastoral visit in the afternoon.
East Ruwenzori is comprised of Kamwenge and Kitagwenda Districts.
