The Consulate of the Republic of Uganda, in Mombasa today 4th September 2022, led a group of Ugandans Diaspora in Mombasa to take part in the Rotary annual Cancer Run in the coast city of Mombasa- Kenya
In remarks made on behalf of the Consul General, Mr. Moses Sukhya 1st Secretary at the Consulate thanked the Diaspora for participating in the Run. He further reiterated that the Consulate stands in solidarity with this Initiative in appeal made by Hon. Jeje Abubakhar Odongo the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda early this week calling for Ugandans Missions abroad to mobilize Ugandans in the diaspora to participate in this noble cause to support the Rotary Cancer Run.
He appealed to Ugandans to maintain a healthy life style eat well, exercise regular and constantly have periodic medical examinations owing to the fact that Cancer can be detected, treated and managed before it advances to its deadly stages.
The Ugandan community conveyed a message of gratitude to the staff of the Consulate for inviting them to participate in the Cancer run and pledged to continue supporting this noble cause.
