The popular explore Busoga domestic tourism promotion campaign has today entered the second day.
The caravan running from 15th – 18th February has seen hundreds of travel enthusiasts take on the Eastern City of Jinja and the neighboring communities.
Flagged off by Hon. Martin Mugarra Bahinduka, the State Minister for Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities at the National Museum, he asked the youthful delegation to passionately enjoy Busoga land.
Notable among the activities on the calendar is thrilling bungee jumping experience that didn’t leave celebrated singer Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone inside his luxurious open roof car upon his arrival.
The mesmerized Chameleone got goosebumps, as they narrated the magical experience he last took on over ten years ago.
Chameleone took the leap of faith, dumped 44m high at the mighty River Nile screaming the popular explore Uganda slogan.
The singer said that the experience of falling free into the fresh natural waters of Nile is one of the best moments ever.
Indeed this is why Jinja city is dubbed as the adventure capital of Uganda, one of the best places to invest!
“You will not easily find such thrilling, extremely memorable activities like bungee jumping, water rafting, sliding, tubing & zip lining anywhere in the Pearl of Africa.” The singer said adding that Jinja now holds a soft spot in his heart.
