The Management of National Water and Sewerage Cooperation has committed to extend exceptional service delivery during the holy month of Ramadan.
This call comes days after maintenance works were executed on major plants in and around the city.
According to the holy month commemorative message, NSWC said that water is very essential in maintaining sanitation and proper hygiene during the fasting season that started on Sunday evening.
“Water is very essential for our Muslim brothers and sisters during the Holy month of Ramadan. At NWSC, we commit to excellent service delivery during this time.” Reads part of the National water and Sewerage Cooperation message.
The holy month of Ramadan is the 9th month in the Islamic lunar calendar.
It is a month of fasting, worship, service, communal gathering, and spiritual development. Fasting in Ramadan is one of the Five Pillars of Islam.
This year’s Ramadan started on Evening of Sun, 10 Mar 2024 ans will stretch until Tue, 9 Apr 2024.
