Equity Bank Uganda Limited has announced an innovative program aimed at empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to achieve their full potential.
According to Equity Bank Managing Director Anthony Kituuka, the Tupange Business initiative is designed to provide SMEs with the necessary tools, support, and resources to grow and succeed.
Through Tupange Business, Equity Bank will offer SMEs access to financing, mentorship, training, and market opportunities. The program will also provide business advisory services, helping SMEs to develop sustainable business models and improve their operations.
Kituuka noted that the initiative is part of the bank’s commitment to supporting the growth of SMEs, which are a key driver of economic development in Uganda.
“We believe that SMEs have the potential to create jobs, stimulate innovation, and drive economic growth,” Kituuka said. “Through Tupange Business, we aim to empower SMEs to achieve their full potential and contribute to the growth of our economy.”
The launch of Tupange Business was attended by SME owners, business leaders, and government officials, who all hailed the initiative as a game-changer for the SME sector.
Tupange Business, will happen in multiple series lined to take place in major towns including Kampala, Lira, Jinja, Luweero Mbarara among others.
