State Minister in charge of Mineral Development and National Female Youth Member of Parliament Phiona Nyamutooro has survived assassination, The Insider reports.
The minister survived being shot at by Private Security Guards of the National Cement Company that is carrying out Illegal Mining in Kisoro District.
The police swung into action and controlled the situation by apprehending the security guards.
National Cement Company Uganda Ltd is a member of the Devki Group Of Companies, formed in 2018 to construct and operate a Portland Cement Plant.
They are the manufacturers of Simba Cement.
