National Unity Platform president, Robert Kyagulanyi and other party leaders are headed to Bundibugyo district where they are expected to hold a consultative and mobilization meeting.
The meeting will be attended by NUP top brass.
The NUP crew has been waving to their supporters in different towns as they head to their final destination.
Intimidation
Yesterday, Bobi Wine revealed that they have been receiving threats and intimidation messages from Security officials.
He sys that their programs on radio were cancelled based on orders from above and told to hold his rally 30km from Bundibugyo town
“As we prepare to head to Bundibugyo District tomorrow for our mobilisation tour, we have continued to receive reports of intimidation and demobilisation by the area RDC one Lt. Col. Alex Nzirimu and the DPC, acting on ‘orders from above’.” Bobi said.
He further added that, “Yesterday, they intercepted and blocked a mobilisation drive and threatened to arrest the driver if he dared advertise our coming.
“Then they ordered the two radio stations not to accept any announcements for our event.
“Our program tomorrow is supposed to begin with a radio program which we already paid for. But the management of the station has been ordered not to host us!
“What more? We booked Booma Grounds for our event tomorrow, and now the DPC says he has orders not to allow us hold our event there, even when these grounds have always hosted all political and other events.
“The DPC says we can only hold our event over 30 kilometers from Bundibugyo town! We strongly oppose and shall not accept these illegal and criminal orders by regime officials, which are only born out of fear for the people! Our advice to them is not to interfere with our lawful programs.”
