Uganda Police has revealed shocking details on Fr Dominic Alinga who recently killed a URA worker by stabbing in Entebbe.
“On August 3, 2024, at around 1:50 AM, police received a report of a suspected murder along the road from Kitooro to Entebbe International Airport,” reads the statement from Police spokesperson, Rusooke Kituuma.
The statement further reads; “The victim was identified as Ngorok John Bosco, a 30-year-old male employee of the Uganda Revenue Authority’s Domestic Tax Department. He had been stabbed in the neck and head by an unknown assailant.
“Ngorok was rushed to a Grade B hospital by the police but was pronounced dead 20 minutes later. The police immediately launched an investigation and began tracking the suspect.
“Uganda Police wishes to announce that the key suspect in this murder has been arrested. He is Dominic Alinga, a priest at the Catholic parish church of Irir in Nakapiripirit.
“Alinga had been suspended from the church by the bishop on allegations of stealing offertory worth six million Ugandan shillings.
“Investigations into Alinga’s connection with the murder of Ngorok are still ongoing. Once complete, the police will determine whether to arraign him before the court.”
