Former presidential press secretary, Tamala Mirundi is dead, the insider reports.

Mirundi has for the past few weeks been bedridden at Kisubi Hospital, Entebbe.

Born in 1964 in Rakai district, Tamale Mirundi is a journalist, author, and political analyst known for his commentary on various media platforms.

He has worked with numerous media outlets throughout his career, including Radio 4, NBS TV, Top Radio, Beat FM, ABS TV, Impact FM, STV Uganda, Pearl FM, and Metro FM.

Mirundi, the son of Molly Namatovu and Yowana Mirundi, attended Lubiri Secondary School. Tamale Mirundi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and a Master’s degree in Communication.

Who Was Tamale Mirundi

Joseph Tamale Mirundi (born in 1964) is a Ugandan journalist, author, and political analyst known for his appearances on various television programs, including Sharp Talk with Tamale Mirundi on STV and several other political shows across different networks.

He became particularly well-known for his segments on NBS Television’s One on One show before joining STV Uganda in 2021, where he featured on The Sharp Talk show and Embuga, airing twice a week.

In 2022, Tamale expanded his media presence by launching an online newspaper called Kab News, where he publishes news and information.

Before rising to prominence as a journalist, he was a part-time writer for the newspaper Munno. His career, however, has not been without controversy.

In 2017, he was suspended from the One on One show due to the use of abusive language, although President Yoweri Museveni later rewarded him with a new car for his contributions to the media.

Tamale Mirundi has also been involved in various legal and political conflicts. He predicted the downfall of Eric Sakwa and anticipated that the People Power, Our Power movement, led by Bobi Wine, would gain more seats in the 2021 elections.

In 2015, his first wife, Juliet Nassimbwa, considered divorcing him due to their political differences.

He also claimed to have been poisoned in 2019 and faced a defamation lawsuit from lawyer Mabirizi.

Additionally, in 2015, judges urged President Museveni to dismiss him for allegedly inciting violence among citizens.

On June 16, 2020, Tamale Mirundi ended his appearances on NBS Television’s One on One show.

The following day, he announced that the show would continue on Facebook and YouTube until further notice.

This is a developing story, More details to unfold
