National Unity Platform (NUP) party President H.E Bobi Wine and other comrades are currently in Kisoro, rallying support for Comrade Sultana Salim, also known as Tana.
Tana was today nominated today as the National Unity Platform (NUP) flag bearer for the Kisoro woman MP by-election.
Tana’s nomination is a significant development in the by-election, which aims to fill the void left by late District Woman Legislator Sarah Nyirabashitsi Mateke.
The ruling NRM party has already selected former Kisoro District Woman Member of Parliament Rose Kabagyeni as its flag bearer.
“The NUP team, led by President Bobi Wine, is actively campaigning for Tana, leveraging the party’s grassroots support and momentum in Kisoro.” Said the Party General Secretary, Luis David Rubongoya.
As the campaign heats up, it’s essential to note that Kisoro has been a focal point of political attention, with the RDC previously sparking controversy by intimidating NUP supporters.
However, this hasn’t deterred the NUP team, which remains committed to mobilizing support for Tana and other party candidates.
