In a heartwarming ceremony held at the Counter Terrorism Headquarters in Naguru, four dedicated officers of the Uganda Police Force were honored for their years of service as they reached mandatory retirement.
ACP Mukama Emmanuel, IP Atim George, SGT Turyahikayo Bernard, and SGT Byaruhanga Paul were recognized for their tireless efforts in keeping Uganda safe.
ACP Mukama Emmanuel, who served for an impressive 38 years, expressed his gratitude to the police force for the support he received throughout his career.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and for the support I’ve received from my colleagues and superiors,” he said.
AIGP Wasswa Ssengendo, Director of Counter Terrorism, commended the retirees for their discipline and hard work.
He emphasized the importance of financial preparedness in retirement, encouraging the officers to plan wisely for their future.
The Uganda Police Force has been at the forefront of combating terrorism and violent activities in the country.
The Directorate of Counter Terrorism has been instrumental in securing Uganda, with notable successes in recent operations.
As the four officers begin their new chapter, they leave behind a legacy of dedication and service to the nation. Their contributions to the Uganda Police Force will not be forgotten.
