The music industry in Uganda is mourning the loss of Tooro music star Moses Kigambo Araali, who passed away after a long illness.
Kigambo Araali, known for his unique cultural music style, had been battling illness for some time before his demise. His music had gained national appeal, and he was celebrated for promoting the cultural heritage of the Tooro people.
The news of Kigambo Araali’s passing has sent shockwaves through the music industry, with fellow artists and fans taking to social media to pay tribute to the fallen star.
“We have lost a great talent and a true ambassador of Tooro culture,” said Amos Mugisa, a prominent journalist in the region.
Mugisa added that Kigambo Araali’s music will live on, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.”
Kigambo Araali’s music career spanned over two decades, during which he released several albums and won numerous awards.
He was also a key figure in the cultural organization Engabu Za Tooro, where he served as the Talents Development Director.
The exact cause of Kigambo Araali’s death has not been disclosed, but his family has confirmed that he had been unwell for some time.
Funeral arrangements are currently underway, and the music industry is expected to come out in full force to pay their last respects to the fallen star.
