The Uganda Police Force (UPF) has announced a series of strategic transfers and appointments within its ranks, as directed by the Inspector General of Police.
The changes are aimed at strengthening various directorates and enhancing operational effectiveness both within the country and in diplomatic roles abroad.
The notable appointments include:
- AIGP Musana Geoffrey, previously serving in the Directorate of Welfare, Production & Sports, has been appointed as the Police Attaché to the Ugandan Embassy in South Sudan.
- SCP Sakira Moses moves from the Ugandan Embassy in South Sudan to assume the role of Deputy Director in the Directorate of Research & Planning.
- SCP Halango Timothy, formerly with the Directorate of Research & Planning, has been transferred to the Directorate of Welfare, Production & Sports as Deputy Director.
- CP Mubangizi Ben transitions from the Directorate of Traffic & Road Safety to serve as the Police Attaché at the Ugandan Embassy in Algeria.
- CP Ssebambulidde Charles has been assigned from Agriculture Police to the Directorate of Logistics & Engineering as Acting Deputy Director for Classified Stores.
- CP Acaye Philip, previously with the Directorate of Traffic & Road Safety, has been appointed Commandant of Agriculture Police.
- ACP Musinga Norman takes on a new role as Acting Deputy Director in the Directorate of Traffic & Road Safety, moving from RPC Busoga East.
The Uganda Police Force extended its congratulations to the officers on their new roles and expressed confidence in their abilities to serve effectively in their respective capacities.
“These appointments demonstrate the UPF’s commitment to ensuring the optimal deployment of personnel to meet both domestic and international demands,” a spokesperson stated.
The new assignments are effective immediately.
