Ugandan opposition leader, musician, and activist Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, marked his 43rd birthday with a heartfelt visit to Nkozi Hospital, the place where he was born in 1982.
Taking to social media, Bobi Wine shared that he was born during the National Resistance Army (NRA) war to his parents, Margaret Nalunkuuma and J.W. Sentamu. To celebrate this milestone, he chose to give back by spending time with new mothers and babies born on the same day at the same hospital.
“Today I decided to visit the hospital where I was born, to share some love with the new mothers and babies who were born on the same day in the same hospital,” he wrote.
During his visit, Bobi Wine interacted with the hospital staff, new mothers, and their families, expressing his appreciation for the institution that welcomed him into the world. He thanked the hospital administration for allowing him to visit and for their warm reception.

The politician and former presidential candidate also expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and birthday messages he received from supporters and well-wishers. “I am really humbled. May the rest of our days be the best of our days. Cheers to 43,” he added.
Bobi Wine’s gesture was met with admiration from many Ugandans, with supporters applauding his commitment to the community and his ongoing advocacy for social justice and change.
This visit comes at a time when he continues to be a vocal critic of Uganda’s government, using his platform to champion the rights of the underprivileged. His birthday celebration not only highlighted his personal journey but also reinforced his dedication to uplifting others.
