What started as a night of fun and laughter ended in a tragedy that has left family, friends, and an entire community in shock.

Martha Ahumuza Murari, a vibrant young woman, collapsed and died under mysterious circumstances at Mezo Noir.

Now, as investigations into her untimely passing continue, her loved ones prepare to lay her to rest.

Martha had spent the evening at Aurous Bar and Restaurant in Kololo, enjoying time with friends before deciding to head to Mezo Noir to meet her supposed boyfriend.

The details of what transpired inside the establishment’s office remain unclear, but witnesses say she collapsed suddenly, prompting an urgent rush to Kampala Hospital.

Despite medical intervention, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

As news of her passing spread, grief gripped Kampala’s social circles.

A vigil will be held at Kembabazi Restaurant in Naguru on March 21, 2025, where family and friends will gather to honour her memory, share stories, and seek solace in each other.

Final Farewell

Martha’s final journey has been carefully planned, allowing loved ones to say their goodbyes.

  • Church Service: A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at All Saints Church in Kampala, starting at 10:00 AM.
  • Journey to Mbarara: Later that night, a second church service will take place in Nyarubanga, Mbarara, where Martha’s body will be received.
  • Burial: On Sunday, March 23, 2025, she will be laid to rest in Nyarubanga, Mbarara.

The pain of losing someone so young and full of life has left many heartbroken.

While Martha’s loved ones prepare for her final send-off, lingering questions about what truly happened at Mezo Noir remain unanswered.

The police continue their investigations, with several individuals reportedly taken into custody, though an official statement is yet to be released.

As the community grieves, one thing remains certain—Martha Ahumuza Murari will be deeply missed.

Her radiant smile, warmth, and presence will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
