Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has today hosted a courtesy visit from Kisumu Governor Professor Anyang’ Nyong’o at City Hall.
The two leaders discussed strengthening commercial ties and optimizing the use of Lake Victoria, given the historical connections and shared shoreline between their cities.
Professor Nyong’o, a former Guild President of Makerere University, was accompanied by his wife.
He is currently in Uganda to deliver the keynote speech at Makerere University’s 90th-anniversary celebration of its guild.
The meeting was attended by various officials, including the Deputy Lord Mayor, members of the City Executive Committee, the KCCA Executive Director, and technical staff from both Kampala and Kisumu cities.
