KAMPALA, Uganda — Mezo Noir, a renowned high-end nightclub situated in Kampala’s upscale Kololo suburb, has reopened after a temporary closure prompted by the untimely death of a patron, Martha Ahumuza Murari.

It was within this office that Martha suddenly collapsed. In a state of panic, Mugabo contacted his brother, Joseph Kalenzi, and together they transported Martha to Kampala Hospital. Despite being placed on life support, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Initial Speculations and Arrests
In the immediate aftermath, rumors swirled that Martha’s drink had been spiked, leading to her sudden deterioration.
These suspicions resulted in the arrest of Mugabo and Kalenzi, who were detained at Kira Road Police Station to assist with the investigation.

Contrary to the initial theories of foul play, a preliminary autopsy report revealed that Martha died from a ruptured aneurysm—a condition where a weakened blood vessel bursts, causing fatal internal bleeding.
