Stanbic Bank Uganda held the March Mug golf tournament over the weekend, celebrating lady golfers under the theme ‘Accelerate Her at Tee-Time’.
Eldad Mwangusya was crowned the overall winner after scoring 68 points net, beating over 100 other golfers who part in this first quarter challenge.
The event, held at the Uganda Golf Club in Kampala, wrapped up Women’s Month, with all participating ladies receiving gift hampers courtesy of Stanbic Bank.

The “Accelerate Her at Tee-Time” initiative is part of Stanbic Bank’s month-long activities aimed at celebrating the girl child during Women’s Month.
According to Sam Bulenzi, Stanbic Bank’s Head of Coverage, the institution has a longstanding strategy to support women, youth, and farmers, in bid to spearhead driving social-economic transformation in Uganda.
“Initiatives like this showcase our purpose: ‘Uganda is our home, we drive her growth.’ By empowering women golfers, we are not only promoting gender equality but also providing opportunities for women to excel,” he said.
The March Mug tournament was a success, with women 40 golfers showcasing their skills.

The event culminated in a 19th-hole celebration featuring culinary recipes, music by Myko Ouma and the All Stars Band and recognition of all the top performers with exclusive offers.
