AIM Global Alliance Racket Busted In Nagalama, 51 Rescued

In a major crackdown on human trafficking and fraudulent job schemes, the Territorial Police in Nagalama have rescued 51 individuals who were being exploited by a suspected recruitment racket run under the banner of AIM Global Alliance, a networking and multi-level marketing company.

The police operation, carried out on April 2, 2025, at around 10:00 a.m., followed reports of individuals being conned with promises of lucrative job opportunities in the Naggalama Division.

Victims were allegedly instructed to pay UGX 150,000 as a “training fee” upon reporting for the supposed job.

According to investigators, once the money was collected and victims’ phones confiscated, they were pressured to recruit friends and family members—who were then asked to pay UGX 1.5 million to purchase AIM Global products.

These products were to be resold in a model that promised monthly earnings of up to UGX 1 million, depending on sales and recruitment performance.

The victims were found in overcrowded, unsafe conditions across various locations in Kalagi, Mukono District:

  • Kakola Village, Kyabakadde Parish, Kyampisi Sub-county: 14 victims (3 males and 11 females) were discovered sleeping in a single room.
  • Kalagi Village, Naggalama A Ward, Nakifuma-Naggalama Town Council: 20 individuals (10 males and 10 females) were found crammed into a small room.
  • Bbosa Village, Kyabakadde Parish: 14 victims (6 males and 8 females) were also confined to one room.

Two suspects, identified as Kasule Zephaniah and Nantima Evelyn, have been arrested in connection with the racket and are currently being held at Nagalama Police Station.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into AIM Global’s operations in the area and have issued a public advisory warning citizens to be cautious of job offers that require upfront payments or sound too good to be true.

Police urge anyone with information related to this or similar schemes to report to the nearest station, as efforts to dismantle trafficking and exploitation networks continue across the country.
