A group of over 500 patriotic youth in Gulu City say they are ready to campaign for the NRM and President Museveni in the coming elections due to his endeavours of uplifting the population out of poverty.
In a meeting held yesterday by the NRM Secretary General, Rt Hon. Richard Todwong, in Gulu city, the enthusiastic group pledged utmost loyalty to President Museveni for empowerment policies like the Parish Development Model and Emyooga to boost incomes.

“We intend to advance the NRM agenda of socio-economic transformation through the ‘musevenomics’ leadership approach, which blends foresight, regional integration, peaceful coexistence, stability and pragmatic development.”
Secretary General Todwong asked the cadres to live exemplary lives because many look up to them.
”A good cadre preaches love, social order, harmony and hard work to contribute to the nation’s growth and development without blame games,” Todwong said, as he commended the group for engaging in wealth creation through their SACCO.
SG Todwong also called on the youth to demand accountable leadership through fighting corruption and embezzlement of public funds.

”It requires concerted efforts of all Ugandans to eliminate the misuse of public resources to steer service delivery. Report the corrupt officials, and the government will act. We cannot look on as our flagship programmes like the PDM are undermined by some selfish corrupt officials,” Todwong said.
He committed to walk with them on their journey to prosperity. “The NRM Secretariat is at your disposal and ready to assist and support you to achieve your goals,” Todwong said.
