Arrow Security Systems Ltd has announced the passing of its Director of Operations and Deputy CEO, Sam Omalla, who succumbed to cancer early this morning.
According to a statement shared on social media by Mukula, a representative of the company, Omalla died at 7:00 AM at Mulago Hospital after a prolonged struggle with the illness.
He was a respected figure both in the private security sector and in law enforcement, having retired at the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP).
“It is with deep sorrow that Arrow Security Systems Ltd announces the death of our Director Operations and Deputy CEO Sam Omalla (RIP),” the statement read.
“He has just passed on at Mulago Hospital at 7 AM after a long struggle with cancer.”
Omalla was widely known for his distinguished service in the Uganda Police Force, where he played a pivotal role in operations management and public order.
After retiring from public service, he continued his commitment to security and leadership in the private sector through his work with Arrow Security Systems.
Tributes have begun pouring in from colleagues, security agencies, and the general public, all mourning the loss of a man celebrated for his discipline, leadership, and dedication to service.
Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
