East Africa’s music icon, Diamond Platnumz, made a dramatic entrance at the inaugural Coffee Marathon Concert in Ntungamo, arriving by helicopter at the scenic Africa Coffee Park to a rousing welcome from fans and organizers.
The Tanzanian superstar, renowned for his energetic performances and global appeal, was visibly impressed by the setup and professionalism of the event. “When I came in, I was amazed by the level of organization. Everything is on point,” he said shortly after touching down.
Diamond, who headlined the concert alongside Ugandan stars Bebe Cool and Eddy Kenzo, described the experience as “unexpected” and praised Uganda for raising the bar in event execution. “Uganda is doing it big,” he remarked, applauding the synergy between culture, tourism, and entertainment showcased at the Coffee Marathon.
Organized by Inspire Africa Group, the Coffee Marathon is part of a broader initiative to empower rural women in Uganda’s coffee sector through sports, investment forums, and music.
The concert capped off a full day of activities, including a marathon and a coffee expo that highlighted the country’s agricultural and tourism potential.
Diamond stated that the multi billion public -private partnership is East Africa’s next game changer.
