On August 2, 2024, at around 2:00 PM, the Katwe Division Police in Kampala Metropolitan South conducted an operation that resulted in the arrest of KIZITO ISAAC, also known as Kamese, a notorious robber and resident of Kisangani Zone, Masaja- Makindye Division- Kampala City. Kamese had broken into Ssendija Mike’s house and stolen a mattress, DVD player, phone, and cash worth 400,000 Ugandan shillings. Kamese led the police to his gang, all of whom were residents of Kisangani, Masaja ward. The general court-martial has charged Achilleo Kivumbi, the head of civilian security for the National Unity Platform (NUP), with possession of military attire belonging to a lieutenant colonel. On August 5, the court ordered Kivumbi to be remanded to Luzira Prison until September 2.
