The Territorial Police in Aswa West Region and Gulu West CPS, have in custody, a 13 year, female pupil of Divine Care Nursery and Primary School, identified as Angee Bakita, a South Sudanese National, for the alleged murder of her fellow pupil and countrymate, Nyatrich Tracy, aged 14. Both pupils were in the boarding section at school. The facts gathered indicate that the two pupils developed a quarrel while fetching water. The territorial police of Busia are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out at Busia Victory Primary School located in Kisenyi B Village, Busia Municipality, Busia District, killing four children and leaving one with minor injuries.The Fire and Rescue team from Busia Police Station received a call about the incident on the 18th of March 2024, at around 0100Hrs when the children were sleeping.
