However before sending her back, she first accused the chief magistrate at Buganda road for acting in error by denying Stella Nyanzi bail. The Inspector General of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura has said that he did not know crime preventers put on police uniforms. He made this statement while appearing to the parliamentary committee on defense and security on Wednesday  morning. “We don’t condone indiscipline & criminality. Court has this morning thrown the Kyadondo MP Apollo Katinti out of parliament following the petition that was filed by the NRM candidate Sitenda Sebalu who was the former area MP.  This has been due to electoral irregularities sighted in the February 18 elections. In a joint ruling by Justice Paul Mugamba, Justice Cheborion Barishaki and Richard Buteera found that there was noncompliance of the electoral laws which substantially affected the results. The electoral commission has been ordered to conduct fresh elections in the constituency.

Church of Uganda Launches 10 Year Provincial Master Strategic Plan His Excellency President Yoweri Museveni has applauded the role played by religious organizations in boosting government’s efforts to uplift communities, empower citizens and promote development. The High court Judge Elizabeth Kabanda judge hearing Dr Stella Nyanzi’s bail application has left Ugandans when she decided to handle the hearing in chambers. The public is not allowed to access the chambers and have been asked to wait patiently wait in the court where Nyanzi was supposed to appear for the feedback from the lawyers. Nyanzi is on remand in Luzira on Cyber Harassment charges where its alleged that she insulted President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni calling him a pair of buttocks.

President Yoweri Museveni has said that radio stations that fail to comply with this duty of promoting interests of public service should be closed.
