City businessman Tom Kaaya is in trouble for alleged illegal possession of firearms. Kaya was picked on Thursday morning by a team of operatives from the Chieftancy of Military Intelligence backed by officers from Old Kampala Police Station. The operatives stormed Kaaya’s Mengo based home on a tip off that he was in possession of nine guns and military attire. They searched Kaaya’s home an only managed to recover a pistol and 18 rounds of ammunition. It is still unknown whether the recovered pistol is licensed or not. An updated list of banned drugs, substances and methods in sports inclusive of football has been released by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to FIFA for its 211 Member Associations (MAs). In a detailed Circular from FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura, she has advised all MAs of FIFA to spread the message to all football stakeholders in their respective countries. Today marks one year since the Uganda Peoples Defence Force-UPDF launched an assault on Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere’s Buhikira palace in Kasese town.
