Makerere senior Researcher Dr Stella Nyanzi has this Monday afternoon been charged with two offenses for her derogatory onslaught on the First Family. Nyanzi who has been in police incarceration since Saturday, was charged with Cyber Harassment (against Sec 24 of the Computer Misuse Act of 2011) and Offensive Communication (against Sect 25 of the same Act). The security situation in the country is generally calm and peaceful with no serious incidents except lawlessness and criminality in Greater Masaka region, where criminals reported assaulted people. Uganda Police Force and its sister security agencies have beefed up security in the region and they continue to work jointly to eliminate criminals from the area. Former Presidential aspirant Dr Kizza Besigye has this morning made unannounced visit to Kira Division Police. This visit was aimed at visiting Dr Nalongo Stella Nyanzi who is under detention over what police described as offensive communication and cyber harassment under Computer Misuse Act. Rehema Watongola’s election was first nullified by court following a petition by FDC’s Salam Musumba over lack of academic qualifications.
