Masaka Chief Magistrates Court has remanded Lwemiyaga County Member of Parliament, Theodore Ssekikubo, to Masaka central prison on six counts. When he appeared in court on Monday, Ssekikubo was charged with a count of possessing an illegal firearm. On his arrest Friday, he was slapped with charges of assault, inciting violence and malicious damage to property. On Sunday, the charge sheet was amended and a charge of attempted murder added.
