Mathew Kanyamunyu was today denied bail for the 3rd time on grounds that he is healthy and under no alarm. High Court Judge Yasin Nyanzi, who presided over the case sent Kanyamunyu back to Luzira prison and set the date for Kanyamunyu bail ruling to next week, 23rd August. Kanyamunyu is accused for the Murder of Kenneth Akena, a social worker who scratched his car at Forest mall on November 12, 2016.

High court in Kampala has issued a warrant of arrest against Mr. Keith Muhakanizi, the permanent Secretary and secretary to the Treasury, Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development over unpaid claims. According to the court summons dated today 17th August, 2017, issued and signed by Rwatooro Muhendo, the Deputy Registrar of High Court (Execution Division) in Kampala states that Muhakanizi failed to effect the payment of USD. 25,623.4 & UGX 23,763,100/= for costs of the suite. Fresh clashes erupted between the two factions of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-North) in Blue Nile state over the weekend. Col. Juma Al-Hadi Guri, the spokesperson of the SPLA-North faction allied to Abdel-Aziz Al-Hilu in Blue Nile, confirmed to Radio Tamazuj yesterday that heavy clashes erupted between the two sides on Sunday.
