NASA has demanded that IEBC declare Raila Odinga winner of the just-concluded presidential election. The Opposition chief defeated President Uhuru Kenyatta, chief agent Musalia Mudavadi told a press conference on Thursday. “We have received further information furnishing us with results from IEBC data. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chairman Wafula Chebukati will likely announce results of the Tuesday’s presidential contest tomorrow. Mr Chebukati has said they expect all forms 34B from around the country by 12pm Friday. “We have asked all our officers to send in the forms by 11am tomorrow. Once we’re done with the validation, we will immediately tell Kenyans who their next president is,” the chairman said. Two election observer missions have said the voting process in the Kenyan polls was credible. The African Union Election Observer Mission (AUEOM) and the International Conference of the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) said voting and counting of votes at the polling stations was credible. Addressing journalists in separate press conferences at Crowne Plaza hotel in Nairobi, the two missions hoped that the credible voting process will be reflected in the final results. The Inspector General of Police has ordered the Police Standards Unit to investigate several officers for abetting land grabbing and torture of tenants. The officers in trouble include Justus Asiimwe, the Nakaseke Police Commander, Christine Otai the Officer in charge of Kapeeka Police Post and their junior staff.
