At least 53 drivers spent Monday night at Jinja Road police station for violating the night-time curfew. The drivers were arrested a few hours after police spokesperson Fred Enanga said they would arrest persons found violating the 9 pm curfew announced by President Yoweri Museveni in March this year as part of the COVID-19 preventive measures. Tycoon Hamis Kiggundu emerged winner in the court case where he sued Diamond Trust Bank for breach of contract. Months ago, Ham sued DTB for illegally debiting about Shs120bn from his dollar and shilling accounts. Members of Parliament from Northern Uganda have decried the continued power blackout with Speaker Rebecca Kadaga describing it as a scandal. “I think the issue of power in Northern Uganda is a scandal.
