The Court of Appeal/Constitutional Court is set to handle two sessions simultaneously where a total of 63 civil and constitutional matters will be concluded in a fortnight. The cases to be handled consist of 26 Civil Appeals, 20 Constitutional Petitions and 17 applications. The Deputy Commander Land Forces, Maj Gen Sam Kavuma, has launched training of Local Defence Unit Personnel starting with those of Lubaga Battalion. Kenya has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases in a single day after 688 tested positive for the disease between Friday and Saturday. Kenya’s COVID-19 total tally now stands at 12, 750, said Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, who addressed journalists during his tour of Embu County on Saturday, July 18. A middle-aged police officer has been arrested and quarantined after he was caught having sex with a female COVID-19 patient quarantined at the Agricultural Training Centre (ATC) in Busia. The ATC quarantine facility is usually guarded by three police officers and three prison warders around the clock. The centre admits COVID-19 patients from the Busia GK Prison and the neighbouring community. The two groups (inmates and ordinary citizens) are, however, kept in separate wards. A study, which reveals that men are twice as likely to start a new business in the UK as women, has been used to shape UK government policy. The research, carried out by Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) experts in the UK for over 20 years, based at Aston Business School in Birmingham, consistently shows that for every 10 male UK entrepreneurs, there are fewer than five female entrepreneurs.
