Kampala Woman MP Nabilah Naggayi Sempala is reportedly sick in a hospital in Alberta, according to images that have emerged circulated by people deemed close to her. Her condition deteriorated around 15th December. She was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital for emergence treatment. Though It is not clear what she is suffering from, some have her close relatives claim that She is suspected to have ingested poison.

The Court of Appeal has this afternoon upheld Hon Isaac Mulindwa Ssozi victory as the validly elected Member of Parliament for Lugazi Municipality. This follows Mulindwa’s election nullification by Jinja High court Judge Margaret Mutonyi on grounds that he lacked the requisite academic qualification. His rival Dr. Elizabeth Nabatanzi Lugudde Katwe had accused him of using the certificate of Hassan Mulindwa, for nomination which amounts to impersonation. A number of over 7,000 Kyambogo University students have today graduated today from different disciplines. The 14th graduation ceremony which kicked off today goes up to Friday where about 200 will graduate with first class honors. According to the vice chancellor of the university prof Elly Kantuguka, called upon students to stay away from use of drugs if they are benefit from their education. Students from the graduate school, school of management and entrepreneurship and faculty of special needs graduated today and others will follow till Friday.
After about 2 months of industrial action, striking judges have finally to pause their action until February 12th 2018. Speaking under their umbrella body of the Uganda Judicial Officers Association, this decision was reached so as to look into the new salary structure by government.
