The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, has sought assurance from the government that Murchison Falls will not be tampered with. Kadaga, in her communication to the House on Tuesday, 18 June 2019 said that the waterfalls are a major tourist attraction. “I want an early assurance from the government that Murchison Falls will not be tampered with. The Minister of Health Dr. Jane Aceng has cried out over lack of funds from government to fight the deadly Ebola Outbreak in the country. While making a statement on the outbreak of Ebola on the floor of Parliament, Aceng on Tuesday said that it is now 10 months ever since the country has been in the preparedness mode over Ebola but no funding has ever been received from government to manage the disease. Constance Muhanganzima died at Nakasero hospital Monday evening at about 7pm after being transported from Fort Portal for better management. The head of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit Lt Col Edith Nakalema has explained why Bank of Uganda was raided. According to a statement issued on Friday, Nakalema explains that her unit was invited by the Bank of Uganda Governor Tumusiime Mutebile to investigate a matter involving a recent procurement consignment.
