Forty-one people died after a Russian plane made an emergency landing and burst into flames just after takeoff from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport. Dramatic video shows passengers using emergency exit slides to escape the burning Aeroflot aircraft. Survivors suggest the plane was struck by lightning, but Russia’s national carrier said only that it returned to the airport for technical reasons. Two children are among the dead. The jet had 73 passengers and five crew. The Stanbic Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) for the month of April has indicated that there was continued improvements in customer demand and business activity, with job creation recorded in Uganda as a result. Overall workloads increased meaning companies had to take on extra staff. The report further indicates that employment has risen in each of the 35 months of data collection so far, and all five broad sectors registered an increase in the latest survey period. Incarcerated Kyadondo East County legislator Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has assured court that their decision to release him does not matter after all he is still has a lot of business to do in prison.
