President Yoweri Museveni has reiterated a call to overhaul the education system and ensure that the universities stop graduating students in irrelevant disciplines. The High court has dismissed an application that had sought to suspend the FUFA presidential elections slated for 5th/ August 2017. Justice Henrietta Wolayo has ordered that since grass root elections are in advanced stages, the balance of convenience favors the completion of the electoral cycle with holding presidential elections. The Rt. Hon. Deputy Speaker, Jacob Oulanyah, has called for increased budgets and policies that support Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Oulanyah said there is need for more focus and funding to facilitate PWDs reach desirable levels. “In a poor economy, disability is almost a condemnation. President Museveni’s brother, Michael Nuwagira alias Toyota, has been named for having acted as a broker to Biras Properties that dubiously acquired government land on plot 60/62 Alidina road in Jinja.
