An IT expert has been charged with hacking into Kenya’s Revenue Authority and stealing $39m (£31m). Alex Mutungi Mutuku, 28, is accused of electronic fraud but he denies any wrongdoing. The prosecution says he is part of a wider network that is stealing money from several high-profile institutions. Mr Mutuku was arrested after police conducted an operation following a tip-off that institutions were losing money. Authorities in Yei River State reached a peace deal with an armed group affiliated to South Sudan’s main opposition faction led by former first vice president Riek Machar in Uganda’s capital, Kampala on 6 March. The deal was brokered by Evangelical Presbyterian Bishop Elias Taban with support from the US-based organization His Voice Global. A Ugandan national working as a ‘boda-boda’ motorcyclist was killed in Yei town on Friday night after quarreling over a phone with a friend, a local official said. The late Kaguta Seme, a boda-boda rider and local musician was stabbed to death at Dar-Salam-Lizira Street in Yei.
