Police in Mukono Township are investigating cases of assault, defacing of posters and malicious damage that happened at Katoogo village in Mukono District. Its alleged that on 19/12/2020, Mr. Abdallah Kiwanuka, a MP candidate for Mukono North on National Unity platform (NUP) ticket held a campaign rally at Katoogo Trading Centre which was attended by more than 200 people, who didn’t follow the Ministry of Health standard operating procedures and Independent Electoral Commission guidelines. Nigerians have celebrated Uganda’s number musician Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool for standing in solidarity with fellow musicians. This was after Bebe Cool secured bail for singers Stanley Omah Didia aka Omah Lay and Temilade Openyi aka Tems who had yesterday been remanded over crimes related to flauting Covid19 SOPs. Barely six months after his retirement as Chief Justice of Uganda, Justice Bart Magunda Katureebe has earned himself a prestigious international appointment. MTN Uganda has launched the MTN Senkyu program whose objective is to appreciate customers for their loyalty and use of MTN services. All MTN customers will receive redeemable Senkyu points each time they use any service from the MTN Network, such as buying airtime, voice or data bundles and mobile money, among others. Utility company Umeme Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Directorate of Training (DIT) to promote skilling of underprivileged communities. The partnership aims to expand the scope of Pamoja project, a Umeme initiative which is aimed at building trust and developing productive linkages within while facilitating access to safe, clean and reliable power.
