The ministry of Health says three of the 53 Covid19 patients are showing good signs. Three cases have tested NEGATIVE twice and could be discharged soon. These would be Uganda’s first recovered persons of the 53 confirmed cases. Over 300 tested on Thursday were all negative. National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) and MTN Uganda have joined hands to provide 100 public water points to supply water to water stressed areas of Kampala during the Coronavirus (COVID19) outbreak. The areas to benefit include water stressed areas at the periphery of the network which currently receive intermittent supply or no water at all. The Ministry of Health on Saturday recorded 13 new coronavirus cases, taking the total of those diagnosed with the virus to 102. The new cases include two travellers from Dubai, two travellers who arrived from Turkey and the other nine cases that are contacts of previously confirmed positive cases who were identified through tracing. Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda has told Parliament that utility companies will still charge for services, except that service providers should exercise restraint in and consider grace periods for defaulters.
