The Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) National Coordinator Gen. Mugisha Muntu has this morning been crowned as Crowned Uganda’s debut Best Promoter of Politics of Tolerance. This event took place at Victory Christian Centre – Ndeeba, a Kampala suburb and was presented by the chairperson of the born again churches Apostle Sserwadda Joseph. The Ministry of Health has this morning confirmed the outbreak of Yellow Fever in Moyo District in West Nile region and Buliisa District in Hoima region. according to the Health Minister Jane Ruth Acheng, In Moyo District, there are two confirmed cases, both are males aged 18 and 21 years. The two cases were dealing with cutting and trading timber between Uganda and South Sudan. President Museveni has been awarded the African Leadership Peace Award on the sidelines of the UK-Africa Investment Summit held in London, UK. Museveni who concluded his visit Wednesday morning, thanked the African Leadership Magazine “that gave me the African Leadership Peace Award Tuesday at the Royal Geographical Society in London”. Former presidential aspirant Dr. Kiiza Besigye has entered the fourth year still toping the position of being the world’s most arrested person. Besigye was first ranked by the Guinness Book of Records towards the end of 2016, but surprisingly four years later, the times are still increasing. On Monday 20/01/2020 marked 50 times he has been arrested in the history of Uganda. In 2016 alone he was arrested more than 15 times during the election period.
