Parliament has passed the Tobacco Control (Amendment) Bill, 2020 scrapping taxation on processed tobacco restricting it on the unprocessed leaf for export. The Chairperson of the Committee on Finance, Hon. Celebrated Opposition politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has partnered with an American businessman to airlift Africans being mistreated in China. This is after reports emerged of hundreds of Africans evicted from their homes and hotels in the Chinese city of Guangzhou over fears the coronavirus was spreading in African communities. Tanzania has on Monday April 13, confirmed 14 new cases that have tested positive for the Covid -19 infection, bringing the total number to 46 cases. In a televised address on Monday morning, health minister Ummy Mwalimu, said the patients tested positive were in Dar es Salaam and Arusha. The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Kenya on Monday rose to 208, exactly a month since the first case was reported, with 11 more people testing positive. Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said all the new cases were Kenyans aged between one- and 42-years-old. The cases were confirmed after tests on 674 samples in the last 24 hours.
