Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has called for increased training programmes in pharmacy aimed at developing a good reputation for the profession. With the increase of pharmacists and the rise of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Kadaga said that it is important to ensure safety of drugs and value for human health. This incident happened outside his gate in Kisoro district on Sunday morning at around 2:30am as the lawyer was entering his home. According to the Kigezi region police spokesperson, Elly Maate, The killers had ambushed him outside his house and lay in waiting. Legislators and women rights’ activists have asked the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) and Uganda Media Council to enforce professional code of ethics on all media houses in the country.
