As the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party runs an appeal for the victims of Bududa landslides, the Secretary General has gone back to Bukalasi this morning to assess the situation. The party is fundraising relief items like food, clothes, household items, medical care among others which are being collected at FDC Headquarters, in Najjanankumbi Kampala or at several of its district branches to help the People of Bukalasi in Bududa by the end of this week. Uganda discovered commercial volumes of oil in the Albertine and Nile basin more than 10 years ago. Presidential advisor Tamale Mirundi has celebrated the departure of the Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Jenifer Musisi from the office she has held since 2011. President Yoweri Museveni has said that the Government of Uganda will not allow any product that is locally produced in surplus quantities in Uganda to be bonded in the country Uganda. “There should be no bonded warehouse for sugar or any other product that we have produced in abundancy in Uganda. The practice of bonding such products is due to corruption,” he explained. Monday evening pushed Ugandans into mixed reactions following the unrealistic resignation of the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) executive director Jennifer Semakula Musisi. The 21-page letter dated October 15, 2018 was directed to President Yoweri Museveni and Musisi says she will cease being executive director of KCCA effective December 15, 2018. In the same letter she also cited the challenges of failing to reconcile competing political interests the KCCA strategic plans and policies.
