Police in central India have arrested 15 Muslim men and charged them with sedition – punishable by life in prison – for celebrating Pakistan’s victory over India in the Champions Trophy cricket final. The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has tasked government to update the country about the progress made in the registration of citizens for the National Identity Cards. The Secretary General of United Nations (UN) António Guterres is expected to arrive today in the country for the Refugee Solidarity Summit that starts tomorrow.
