Opposition’s Dr. Kiiza Besigye has decried the manner in which public institutions have been politicized to suit benefits of individuals at the expense of the people of Uganda. Members of Parliament on the Committee of Physical Infrastructure have recommended for the immediate termination of the vehicle inspection arrangement under SGS (Societe Generale de Surveillance) citing fraud by the company and flaws in the contract. Hon. The Uganda Revenue Authority blood donation caravan aimed to save lives of patients in hospitals has today climaxed with great achievement. The campaign that started on Monday 5th, has pulled both URA staff, nearby residents and visitors something that has seen about 1000 units of blood collected. The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) has this morning finally released the long awaited UCE results. Speaking to the Media at the president’s office in Kampala, Dan Odong, UNEB Executive Secretary revealed how there was a slight improvement as compared to the previous years 2016. Odong said that Passes at distinction & credit level in Physics & chemistry are below 20%. Majority of the examination malpractices were reported in science subjects, biology being the most affected with 39.7%, followed by physics at 20%, Chemistry 10%, and Maths 6.7% However districts of Bukwo, Butaleja, Bundibugyo and Kween were rated as the…
