Parliamentary aspirants and voters in six new districts that became effective at the start of the 2018/2019 financial year will have to wait longer for elections as government has declared that it has no money to conduct elections in those administrative units. A section of Ugandan traders who were un paid for the supply of goods in South Sudan have demanded that their dues are settled by the Ministry of Trade, not the Ministry of Finance, where the Minister has rubbished their claims. Speaking to the congregation, Museveni said that the NRM government is committed to putting in place infrastructure to spur Uganda’s growth. “This is gradual but we shall get there. We started with peace, then education, immunization, we are working on roads and now these dams.
