Rubaga North Member of Parliament, Hon Moses Kasibante, has appeared before the House Committee on Rules, Privileges and Discipline, as a witness where he accused Security Minister, Gen Elly Tumwine, of undermining the legislature. Civil society organizations have threatened to go to court if the proposed electoral reforms are passed as there. Last week the attorney general presented the reforms among which political parties are not supposed to associate with pressure groups, cameras and phones banned from the polling station, security officers to vote five days before the polling date among others. Former Jubilee Party chairman David Murathe has refuted claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto got into a pact in 2013 for an automatic succession come 2022.
