The Public Accounts Committee (Local Governments) has directed district local governments to desist from funding Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), whose budget is provided by the President’s Office. Two children reported to have been kidnapped last week found. Their kidnap was reported on 25/06/2018 by a one Gordon Galiwango of Nakinyuguzi zone in Makindye. He reported that his two children Nsubuga Herman aged 8yrs and Zalwango Christine aged 5yrs, both pupils of Mirembe P/s Nakinyuguzi had been kidnapped at 7pm. Zimbabwe’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa has survived a blast at a ruling ZANU-PF party election campaign rally in the city of Bulawayo, in an apparent attack which left one of his deputies injured. The explosion on Saturday happened as the president, accompanied by other politicians, was walking off the stage at the White City stadium after addressing thousands of supporters in advance of next month’s vote. Mnangagwa, the 75-year-old leader of ZANU-PF, was not hurt and taken to safety, officials said. Kampala June 22 – The construction of the largest Sewerage treatment plant in East Africa is substantially complete with 95% of the civil and electro-mechanical works completed in the Bugolobi Nakivubo Catchment area.
