The State Attorney Lilian Omara Alum from the Directorate of Public Prosecution has changed the initial charges Against Sheikh Amir Yahaya Mwanje of Murder of one Hajji Muhammad Kigundu at Buganda road chief Magistrate Court. President Yoweri Museveni has threatened to sue private radio stations over what he describes as promoting misinformation on land matters. Museveni made these remarks while appearing on Voice of Tooro(VOT) a local radio station in Kabarole district last evening on a countrywide tour in radio campaign to push for the setting up of a land tribunal and change of the current land laws and also defuse what he called toxic misinformation by his political opponents. South Sudan’s government should focus on how to achieve peace and stability in the country, rather than reunification of the fragmented factions of the ruling SPLM party, a rights group said. The Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ), a human rights entity in South Sudan, says more efforts are needed to achieve peace instead of wasting time on initiatives that will never fulfil citizens’ demands. The Uganda Police force yesterday intercepted a bus carrying government Medicine heading to Burundi. These drugs were confiscated in Mengo Rubaga North Kampala as it was being driven at alterable speed. According to National Medical stores, the medicine had been delivered to central region to help the Ugandans access better heath cervices.
