The Police has said former national football team captain, Geoffrey Massa will be charged for attempted murder and reckless driving. Massa was on Thursday morning (3am) involved in a scuffle with the Police when his vehicle was shot at and his friend Josephine Maliza got injured by one of the bullets. South Sudanese rebels have turned a refugee camp in Lasu area in Yei River State into their military base, a senior refugee affairs official in Yei said. A South Sudanese observer says the dismissal of judges who had been on strike for the past two months by President Salva Kiir has paralyzed the judicial system of the country. Five Congolese park rangers have been killed in an operation to rescue a US journalist and three other rangers, officials say. The group had gone missing during a militia attack on the town of Mambasa in the Okapi wildlife reserve, in the northeast of the country, on Friday.
